Job Overview:
As a Senior Finance Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health and compliance of our growing MarTech B2B agency. You’ll manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and budgeting while supporting strategic decision-making with data-driven insights. This role requires a hands-on and detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Operations & Reporting
- Manage monthly closing processes, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, P&L reports, and balance sheets
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts
- Monitor budget utilization and highlight variances with insights
3. Cash Flow & Expense Management
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds for operational needs
- Manage payments, invoicing, petty cash, and staff reimbursements
4. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, SST, and local accounting standards
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant government authorities
5. Process Improvement & Internal Controls
- Review current financial processes and recommend improvements
- Implement internal controls and financial best practices
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with HR, Operations, and Project Teams for cost tracking, contract billing, and project profitability analysis
- Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and business planning
- Analyze turnover rates, hiring timelines, and employee satisfaction scores
Requirement:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting, preferably in a digital, tech, or agency environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., SQL, Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of Malaysian accounting standards, SST, and financial regulations
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability
